Her prowess in leadership and substantial achievements underscore her commitment to implementing international best practices, cultivating robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), and securing ISO certifications. Throughout her career, Asha’s steadfast focus has consistently revolved around enhancing organizational effectiveness and advocating for a culture of quality excellence.

In her capacity as the Director at Kalahari Associates (Pty – Ltd) in Botswana since July 2014, Asha has assumed responsibility for aligning the company’s management systems with global standards. Her leadership extends to orchestrating QMS training and consultancy, driving notable operational enhancements. Asha’s instrumental role in drafting quality management standards at the International Standards Organisation (ISO) and spearheading an international management standard for local governments has led to the QMS certification of a municipality in Botswana. Her guidance has also facilitated ISO 9001 certifications across diverse sectors.

During her tenure as a Senior Consultant at the Botswana National Productivity Centre (BNPC) from 1997 to June 2014, Asha pioneered the development of Quality Management in Botswana, upholding BNPC’s position of market leadership. She remained at the forefront of QMS product development, ensuring its continuous alignment with evolving international standards. Asha’s expertise was sought after by both public and private sectors, seeking guidance on QMS practices to maintain sustained quality excellence. She effectively led the ISO certification for a local municipality, gaining international accolades. Her contributions extended to international QMS standards development within the ISO technical committee. Notably, Asha played an indispensable role in co-founding the Botswana Quality Association (BOQA), which has been pivotal in elevating the quality landscape.

Asha’s time as a Tutor at the University of Botswana between 1995 and 1997 was marked by her dedication to teaching digital technology and Engineering Mathematics, while concurrently providing ISO 9001 consultancy to the Botswana Meat Commission. During this period, Asha was among the founding members of the Botswana Quality Association (BOQA), contributing to its focus on quality enhancement.

As a Total Quality Management Consultant at NIIT, India, from 1992 to 1995, Asha spearheaded the introduction of quality management principles in the service industry. She achieved noteworthy ISO 9001 certifications for various business units. Asha also brought her expertise to bear in the education sector, aligning services with ISO management standards.

Asha’s role as a Quality Assurance Engineer at AKG Acoustics from 1990 to 1992 saw her implementation of process controls and zero defect methodologies in manufacturing lines. Her efforts paved the way for supplier development, effectively reducing the organization’s dependence on imports.

During her stint as a Junior Executive at Duncan Group of Companies, India, from 1987 to 1990, Asha took charge of quality control in the Printed Circuit Board manufacturing plant. She successfully led a product certification project, securing UL (Underwriters Laboratory) approval and ushering in export contracts that significantly boosted revenue.
