ISO 18091: An Integrated Management System for the SDGs
Annex A and Annex D of the International Standard ISO 18091:2019 are a guide for local governments to establish a management system that contributes to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. These annexes contain a total of 39 indicators for the creation of specific projects, programs and strategies that contribute to the fulfillment of the SDGs.
The 2030 Agenda does not have an integrated management system so ISO 18091:2019 provides an Integrated Management System for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
1. THE STATE DEVELOPMENT PLAN WITH A FOCUS ON ISO 18091 AND THE 17 ODS
It is proposed to design a series of structures for governance, both at the level of the internal team of the state government and with the municipal governments of the state so that the State Development Plan can effectively contribute to the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will be aligned with ISO 18091.
2. PUBLIC POLICY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN ANNEX A_ ISO 18091
To be measured periodically with a control sheet that covers all public policy management based on objective evidence, aligned to its own goals and oriented to the fulfillment of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
3. INTEGRATED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN ANNEX B_ ISO 18091
Ensure a management system that guides, measures and improves public services based on quality processes throughout state government.
4. INTEGRAL CITIZEN OBSERVATORY IN ANNEX C_ISO 18091
Organizes citizen participation based on the figure of an Integral Citizen Observatory, which works with a common and accessible language between citizens and government.
5. INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF RELIABILITY
To aspire to be recognized by an international organization, the World Council for Quality (WCFQ), which confirms the reliability of its processes, its citizen participation mechanism, as well as the results of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
